Green Bar

  • SPL: presides at Troop functions, leads Green Bar
  • Troop Guide: guides junior (below First Class) Scouts

  • ASPL: conducts gathering activites at Troop meetings, fills in in absence of SPL.

  • Den Chiefs: associated with a Cub Scout den, leads den in activities as directed by the Den Leader. Integral part of Den and Pack meetings.

  • Troop medic: must be at least First Class, have a current CPR certification, and have earned the First Aid MB. Maintains a Troop first aid kit. Primary contact for injuries. Responsible for coordinating First Aid traiing at Troop events. (There is no patch for this; the insignia is a Readyman AB on each side of the collar.)

  • Historian: takes (digital) photos throughout the term, collects photos from Troop families, prepares slideshow at the smeiannual court of honor
  • Librarian: responsible for (any) Troop literature, keeps ongoing inventory of which families own which merit-badge pamphlets (including year of printing)
  • Bugler: sounds reveille, taps, and "charge" (dinner call) at campouts. Must do this at least once before receiving patch
