Start at Applegate (above Auburn, where Crother Rd and Orchard Ave. crosses I-80).
Take Lake Arthur Rd (4.2 mi) to Bowman Rd. (2.7 mi) to Lincoln Way (2.1 mi) to El Dorado (0.2 mi) to High St (0.9 mi) to Auburn Folsom Rd (16.0 mi) to American River Bike Path. This makes 26.1 miles.
Then continue on the Bike Trail until Bus. 80 (the 5-mile marker).
