For fundraising endeavors like Popcorn and See's Candies, the profit is divided 50-50 between the Scout and the unit. The Scout may use his portion for anything Scouting, including, but not limited to, dues, campouts, and equipment. The Scouts' monies are tracked on a spreadsheet.

For example, say 5 boys (2 Boy Scouts and 3 Cub Scouts) work 3 hours each (for a total of 15 man-hours) and the net profit is $300. The profit is then $20/man-hour, which means each boy gets $30, the Troop gets $60, and the Pack gets $90.
